"2 SHORTS"

Friday Night I went to handle some bizne$$ at the infamous FarmerBrown in SF (p.s. come by to FarmerBrown Sat. March 1st for a RI$KY PARTAY) and guess who steps in right behind us...
TOO $HORT:
(sorry its a bad pic, all I had was my camera phone)

Got to shake the man's hand and then off to begin the night...

We stopped by Space Gallery to check out Bomb Hip Hop's "Record Cover Art" display.

In honor of who I just met...

Then look who we see on the decks...
SHORTKUT! (Who f*ckin' wrecked shop that night by the way)

Playing down the street at Red Devil Lounge was Digital Underground. The crowd outside the venue was ridiculous.

After this, we met up with Jess and she brought along 2 Alife boys Mike & Ari and we headed to 111 Minna. Smoked a bleez, hung out with folks, then called it a night!
So, that was my Friday of "Two Shorts".... Get it???
Hey, I thought it was cool OK!

SEMI-PRO: Andre3000 & Will Ferrell

Can't wait to catch this flick. You know Will Ferrell is going to be off the hook, let alone Mr.3000 co-starring. Check out this snippet of an interview they did with Complex magazine:

Will, you’re married, so this doesn’t apply as much to you anymore, but is there a difference between hip-hop groupies and Hollywood groupies?

Andre Benjamin: It’s all the same. I don’t go out that much, so I’m not in a position to meet a lot of them. But I remember me and a famous actor were in the club, and he’s like, the man, and he’s like, “Man, I wish I was y’all, ’cause I know y’all get all the bitches.” And I was like, “But you’re…”

[Cough] Jamie Foxx! [Cough]

[Laughter.]

Peep the whole interview here.

for ya'll mac heads

Found a site that allows you to upload your own design to stick over your trackpad on your macbook. SkinStyler is the site that will print your own design or picture to personalize your beloved laptop and set it aside from its brothers and sisters you see all over. It's $7.90 for one design; not bad! Let me know how it turns out if you order.

The hosts for the evening: Ruby Red-I & Charlie GotdatROCK (like the new nickname?)

$ir Tipp played a hyphy song and security came running and told him to cut it. Oops!

Cellus & The Ra$kel

Best song Ant-One played that caught everyone off guard? XXXplosive.

We hit LaVic's after and Ed stole a bottle of the "special sauce." Poor guys probably get 5 bottles stolen a night after the club.

FREE RINGTONES! (Forreal though, not a MySpace hack!)

Stop wastin' dough on buying ringtones for your phone. Check out this site called Myxer.

I'm personally not the "music ringtone" type of person, preferring the old school sounding "nostalgic" telephone ring. Nonetheless, I wouldn't want you wasting away your hard earned and precious dollahs on that crap. (Even though it is another way of supporting an artist, as the ringtone business rakes in billions.)
The site is legit and I've made a couple ringtones (If you haven't already heard my "Between The Sheets" ringtone) and they are just as good as the ones you pay $2.99 for. When I call you, can you make my ringtone "Sensual Seduction Remix:". Lil Kim's verse. (Lil' Kim KILLS it on the voicebox!)

"You claim to be a playa but I f*cked ya wife..."

This Monday hear resident DJs Sir Tipp, Eddie Ra$kel, Ant One, and Ruby Red-I spin tunes of Hip Hop's favorite record labels and their claim-to-fame music, as they compete against each other to prove who reigns supreme on the dancefloor! Come hear music from record labels such as Bay Boy vs. Death Row, So So Def vs. Star Trak, Roc-A-Fella vs. Rawkus, Cash Money vs. Slip'N'Slide, and more! REQUESTS ALWAYS WELCOME AT RI$KY MONDAY$!

Drink Specials include $2 PBRs and $5 HENN shots!

What a f*ckin flyer huh! RI$KY Album cover the Cash Money way... $ir Tipp the designer/producer/DJ extroidanaire!

Super Bowl Sunday

Dammit! I didn't win any squares in my Super Bowl pool. I had a pretty good chance scoring good combos like a 3 & 4 and a 7 & 1.

Archie Manning must be a proud father. Imagine creating offspring of such champion caliber. The joy he must feel as a father witnessing two of his sons playing in a Super Bowl, and winning. He receives my vote for Man of the year. Way to raise 'em, Arch!

Got Milk?

Only in Europe

In the little known French city of Nantes, a veritable army of mechanical animals is quietly readying itself for the eventual takeover of Western Europe. Well, not really, but it certainly would be cool if the incredible man-made menagerie known as the MACHINES OF THE ISLE OF NANTES currently on display in the port city would rise up and take their rightful place at the top of the foodchain on land & sea. The brainchild of French artists FRANCOIS DELAROZIERE and PIERRE OREFICE, the Mechanical Animal project is an ongoing initiative that began in 2007 with the debut of a massive mobile elephant sculpture over 12 meters tall that can carry 45 puny human passengers on its back—who, in turn, can operate the animal’s trunk and trumpet call themselves—as it walks along city streets. The project’s second stage, a collection of interactive marine life that will populate a massive multi-story carousel, is currently being constructed with a projected debut date of summer 2009. Currently, the entire collection is housed in a beautiful turn-of-the-century warehouse that once served as the city’s shipbuilding hub and is open to the public for viewing daily.
HAVE A LOOK:

taken from Supertouch

This is an exhibit that probably would never hit the U.S. for many reasons. Seems like all the interesting things are somehow either banned, illegal, or are not thought up in America. I'm beginning to feel we're getting the short end of the deal here... Great. Election '08 is right around the corner; here comes more turmoil. I digress. Anyway... Great exhibit that I would LOVE to experience myself.
