"Flying" LED-Lit Books Light-Up San Francisco's North Beach. Called "Language of the Birds," artists Dorka Keehn and Brian Goggin participated in the literal unveiling — at first, each book was shrouded and unlit, and one by one, a string was pulled to reveal each book, which were then lit up as the night darkened.
Head over to Columbus and Broadway to check this out
ANT-ONE had a gig for Ubisoft and their Prince of Persia game release party Thursday night. It was held at a spot called Ana Mandara, and this place is freakin nuts. Its a restaurant/bar right next to Ghilardeli Square in SF and apparently owned by Don Johnson. I inquired about throwing a party here; one of the waiters told me it'll cost me $20-30k. Whoa. Nevermind!
Open Bar!!! (not limited to this menu. Good thing they didn't include Henn in the open bar though, I would have dropped dead.)
Body Painting...wow
Themed party to a tee! Complete with trapeze artists and everything!
Off to the Q-Tip show at Mezz Sorry, I was obliterated.

For years, like legions of other professionals, Mr. Obama has been all but addicted to his BlackBerry. The device has rarely been far from his side — on most days, it was fastened to his belt — to provide a singular conduit to the outside world as the bubble around him grew tighter and tighter throughout his campaign.
“How about that?” Mr. Obama replied to a friend’s congratulatory e-mail message on the night of his victory.
But before he arrives at the White House, he will probably be forced to sign off. In addition to concerns about e-mail security, he faces the Presidential Records Act, which puts his correspondence in the official record and ultimately up for public review, and the threat of subpoenas. A decision has not been made on whether he could become the first e-mailing president, but aides said that seemed doubtful.
Peeped this on Kamal's blog... Some bad ass b!tches, who knows about longevity but it's kinda hot. I guess they are The Dream's new project called Electrik Red. I don't know that I actually like the song itself, but the video is sick.
In honor of the Q-Tip show last night (great show btw!!! Q-Tip show turns out to be a TRIBE show! What a TREAT!), I wanted to post the sample to Gettin' Up, one of my favorite tracks on Q-Tip's new album, The Renaissance. I really like the album and the whole vibe; that Norah Jones track is fire too!
Here's the sample, and then the instrumental under it cuz I can listen to that beat all.day.long.
Top Chef Season 4 premiered last night and I'm so excited for this season. NY is a great food city and the contestants seem pretty cool (some of them hahaa). Although there is no TRUE San Franciscan on the show (meaning born/raised/& practices in SF), Jaime works at Absinthe on Hayes. Seems like a cool chick, got some dope ink, and lotsa personality. Check it out:
Meet Jaime
Jamie works as the Executive Chef at Absinthe, one of the busiest restaurants in San Francisco. Born in New York City and trained in classic French technique, Jamie believes in cooking from within. Jamie loves to work with local and seasonal ingredients and focuses most of her menu around organic foods. Jamie enjoys participating in local charitable events and using her talent to support important causes. Jamie's favorite thing to eat is Indian food, and she is obsessed with onions.
Age: 30 Hometown: New York, New York Current Residence: San Francisco, California Profession: Executive Chef, Absinthe Brasserie and Bar Culinary Education: A.O.S. Culinary Arts, C.I.A. Favorite Simple Spring Recipe: Asparagus salad with charred onion vinaigrette, Burrata cheese, wild arugula and speck
I'm sure ya'll have seen what all the hype was about with the Google Campus in Mountain View. Did you know there's a NYC campus? It may not have the shady trees and grassy knolls like its NorCal campus, but this city campus is dope in its own right. Massage chairs? Lego wall? Free stocked cafeteria? Sick office duds yo... check it:
My trip to Hawaii was not only relaxing, but it was filled with amazing meals and exquisite food! Here are shots of my fave meals I enjoyed out there...
Hawaiian Airlines offers meals, how archaic right? I didn't even know they still do this... Its gross though.
Poke from Uncle Bo's
The infamous Shrimp Truck in the North Shore: Giovanni's!!!

Sansei's
Kirsi's cousin made us breakfast: Kimchee fried rice and portugese sausage!!!
The infamous Shave Ice
This restaurant Kunio's serves the best fish I have ever eaten in my life and you can't find it anywhere but Hawaii apparently. Its called butterfish and is the filet mignon of fish! Melts in your mouth...
